Christian, husband, father and grandfather

-I believe...

-The Tennessee and U.S. Constitutions are base law and the foundational structure for our government.

-Those Rights outlined specifically in the U.S. Bill of Rights and TN Declaration of Rights are absolute.

-All Tennesseans are essential and have a God-given right to earn a living for their families.

-Parents are the final arbiters of what their children learn.

-Medical freedom is a basic right.

-Tennesseans should decide upon our future rather than delegate authorities to a federal government.

I am fortunate to call Tennessee home.  I was born in Rockwood to a working class family and did not realize that I had already won the lottery, if you will. College wasn't on the horizon for me then. My options were to get a job or join the military. I did both. But, again I was a lottery winner and often didn't even realize it. I had been born an American in the greatest state in the Land of the Free. I grew up respecting those men like Davy Crockett, Andrew Jackson, Sam Houston, and Alvin York. Men with Tennessee connections who defined Home of the Brave. Men like my great, great, great...grandfather had fought for our Freedom in the Revolutionary War. Men like York had fought for Freedom in 1917 and many men stormed the beaches of Normandy in 1944 for Freedom. Men had fought and were highly decorated in the jungles of Vietnam. Those strong men and their determined wives had shaped a lease on Freedom that was given to me as if I had won the lottery. Indeed I had. I was born a Tennessean.
